Meaning :  A Clause is a group of words in sentences  that contain complete  bits of information.                                                                  Sentences containing more than  one clause.      A Complex sentence  has two parts-one is the main clause, the other is the subordinate clause.       E. G. :                                                           1) He is the man             Whom we all respect.          Main clause                  Subordinate clause.            Home Work  :                                                              write about clauses.

                                                      ಸಮಾಸಗಳು ಎರಡು ಅಥವಾ ಅನೇಕ ಪದಗಳು ಸೇರಿ ಒಂದು ಪದವಾಗುವಾಗ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಭಕ್ತಿ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಯ ಲೋಪವಾದಾಗ 'ಸಮಾಸ' ವೆನಿಸುವುದು. ಸಮಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ಪದವು ಪೂರ್ವ ಪದವೆಂದೂ ಎರಡನೆಯ ಪದವು ಉತ್ತರ ಪದವೆಂದು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಸಮಾಸ ಪದವನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸಿ ಬರೆಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ 'ವಿಗ್ರಹ ವಾಕ್ಯ' ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಪೂರ್ವಪದ + ಉತ್ತರಪದ = ವಿಗ್ರಹ ವಾಕ್ಯ -> ಸಮಾಸ ಉದಾ:- ಕಾಲಿನ + ಬಳೆ = ಕಾಲು ಬಳೆ -> ತತ್ಪುರುಷ ಸಮಾಸ ಕಲ್ಲಿನಂತಿರುವ + ಇದ್ದಿಲು = ಕಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಿಲು -> ತತ್ಪುರುಷ ಸಮಾಸ ಸಮಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂಟು ವಿಧಗಳಿವೆ ತತ್ಪುರುಷ ಸಮಾಸ ಕರ್ಮಧಾರೆಯ ಸಮಾಸ ಅಂಶಿ ಸಮಾಸ ದ್ವಿಗು ಸಮಾಸ ದ್ವಂದ್ವ ಸಮಾಸ ಬಹುವ್ರೀಹಿ ಸಮಾಸ ಕ್ರಿಯಾ ಸಮಾಸ ಗಮಕ ಸಮಾಸ
